“I was excited to get involved with the Houston Gravel Collective when I first moved here, as it felt like a community of like-minded folks who cared about providing space for everyone as much or more as they love riding bikes. Jeannie Hoang (she/her)
Jeannie has lead the way with encouraging the HGC community to ‘dog-pack’ while riding gravel. She’s rarely seen without pup, Juliette, on her back. In the year she’s been with HGC, she’s gone from ‘gravel curious’ to co-leading the Houston chapter!

Gravel & Be Merry.
Our annual social ride to the West Sandy Creek Winery in the middle of the National Forest! Always welcoming, they kept the wine (& non-alcoholic drinks) flowing and had a wonderful cabin and pavilion to protect us from the intense thunderstorms that night.

One of our primary goals is to share the love of gravel with others. You’re going to need a bike! Let’s help you get there.
Thanks to the ‘Eat My Dust’ Gravel Scholarship from Diamondback, we have an awesome loaner bike to share. This is a great opportunity for those without a gravel bike to come out and try gravel without having to purchase a bike right away. Our bike is a 52 cm that fits people of heights around 5’2” to 5’8”. We are thankful to Urban Bicycle Gallery who helps keep this bike maintained and cared for!
Borrow our bike.
We are a welcoming bunch and are just happy to see you. Ride a bike that will be comfortable for you on bumpy terrain. Mountain bikes are always a great choice and can be easier to find used or to borrow. Hybrid bikes often work, too, but check with us on the tires and terrain. Fat bikes are welcome. Please don’t show up on a road bike with slick, skinny tires.

EADO Bike Co is a local bike shop in Houston that offers the Surly Bridge Club as an all-terrain bike that works well for gravel. They are a great local resource for rental bikes for our monthly gravel events.
We have rented with them before and the process is super friendly and easy. They even ensure that the bike fits you well before you leave the shop.
