    Alvin Holbrook (he/him)

β€œI grew up riding fixies and tearing up the streets in Sacramento, California. I eventually moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for college, where you can pick any place on the map and find awesome bike riding. Now I'm in San Antonio and riding gravel is one of my favorite things to do, second only to helping folks appreciate the joys of riding, regardless of experience, background, and ability. Let's ride!” - Alvin, San Antonio Gravel Collective leader

Meet the San Antonio Founders!

  • Close up of Jessica with blue hair, round glasses, turquoise necklace and a yellow shirt.

    Jessica Danielle (she/her)

Jessica Danielle is a San Antonio Gravel Collective co-founder. She was a Maryland transplant with no idea how cycling was going to hand her a new adventure. Starting by hosting brunch and city rides from a B cycle to now traveling the world and hosting crit races... Gravel was bound to find its way to her. The rocky routes hit her soul in 2018 by some eye opening friends and she's been rolling into new things ever since. An alumni of the Ride for Racial Justice team and still growing strong, Jessica is versatile in community engagement, getting more people outside and taking any chance to find urban to mountainside adventure. We may get lost (even with a computer) , but we'll always find a fun time and look forward to hitting the dirt soon enough! Shindig on bike minded humans!

Jessica moved to another city, but is still making waves with bikes!

  • Erin smiling and holding her bike behind her as she stands on a dirt road.

    Erin Wood (she/her)

Erin Wood is a San Antonio Gravel Collective co-founder. Erin has been a life-long runner, but transitioned to cycling three years ago after a leg injury. A recent Texas transplant, Erin moved in June from Stillwater, OKβ€” home of the MidSouth Gravel and The Truffle Shuffle and miles and miles of red dirt roads. When she’s not on her bike or frantically training for an ultramarathon, Erin can be found behind a computer writing research reports. Erin is currently a postdoc at UT Health San Antonio conducting research to understand predictors and treatment solutions for individuals with substance use disorder.
